Mender of Broken Soles: Canon R5 Test
Who -
Talent: Jim, owner of Fast Eddies
Assistant: Martin Wheeler came along to hang out and lend a hand
Video Editor: Kyle Krause
Video Colorist: Clark Griffiths
What -
Stills and motion project to test out the new Canon R5 camera. Having just purchased the R5 we wanted to put it through the ringer to see how well the camera performed in a difficult, mixed lighting situation. The internal image stabilization was a real stand out as the video was shot 100% hand held. The still files are without a doubt the best we have seen from a Canon camera to date.
When -
A chilly and wet afternoon in November
Where -
Fast Eddies Shoe Repair in Minneapolis
Tools-
Canon EOS R5, EF lenses
Fun -
While unloading Martin mentioned that there was a place that had authentic Cornish Pasties near the shoe shop. It turned out that Lands End Pasty Company was right next door and that they have the most authentic Cornish Pasties Martin has had outside of Cornwall England, where he grew up.

STAGHEAD MOTO SHOOT
It all begins with an idea.
This past fall I worked with director Tony Franklin and DP Alex Horner on a shoot with Staghead Moto. The goal was to capture the spirit of riding vintage motorcycles in one of the most scenic areas in the Midwest. Shooting out of the back of a moving van we were able to capture the spirit and seamlessly blend the look of the video and still images.

MIRACLE EAR
This past May I had the pleasure to work with Miracle Ear and Initio 3i.
This past May I had the pleasure to work with Miracle Ear and Initio 3i. The shoot was one day on location at one of the newly renovated Miracle Ear stores. The goal was to create of body of work that highlighted the technology and types of customers Miracle Ear has. Our models ages ranged from 10 to 80. At the end of the day we walked away with a solid selection of images for Miracle Ear.
