Last night I had a great time hanging out with a fellow photographer Vanessa Meade. Her work is OUTSTANDING check it out here. We walked around my neighborhood just shooting and talking photo geek stuff, it was nice to pick each others brains for ideas.
It was a very simple idea, go out at 3am and shoot the empty streets of Minneapolis. I felt like I was in a post apocalyptic film, it was eery to not see people or cars in an area that is normally so busy.
I have always wanted to get out to the Greenway bike path in Minneapolis to shoot bikers. My good friend Johnny had just put some finishing touches on his fix geared bike so he was more then willing to ride for the camera. After a few delays we go out to the bike bridge which is a fantastic looking bridge. →
What an incredible night. I love seeing bands I haven't heard before, so when I was asked to shoot Big White House's 20th reunion show I jumped at the chance. Got a call yesterday afternoon from Josh Tranby asking if I wanted to come shoot some wakeboarding. I was itching to get off my computer and do something fun so I jumped at the chance. I was also looking for something to shoot with my new 50mm 1.4 lens which I had got in the mail earlier that day.
I went to my good friend Georges last Kickball game of the year. I had a great time shooting the shenanigans that went down... lets just say I never thought I would see the day where someone actually got kicked out of a beer league soccer game.

A few mornings ago My good friend Alex horner asked if I would shoot him riding his motorcycle. I thought this would be a great opportunity to work on motion blur by dragging my shutter and panning the camera. We went around NE Minneapolis and tried a few different techniques and came out with a few good shots.
